Experience and qualifications
Amanda has been a registered psychologist after completing the 4+2 program in 2000. She has been professionally involved with and consulted to people who have disabilities, mental health concerns, substance abuse, child abuse and neglect, criminal offending and challenging behaviours since 2000. The roles she has undertaken during this time are varied and occurred within non-government agencies and private enterprise including work with respect to Challenging Behaviours, Mental Health, Alcohol and Other Drugs, parenting interventions and Criminal Justice issue management and psychological therapy. She currently works in a very limited capacity in private practice and as a supervisor of provisional psychologists and as the Chief Services Officer for AAPi. In her personal life she is the parent of neurodivergent children and has taken an attachment parenting/gentle parenting approach with her own children.
