Dr Sarah Egan is a senior clinical psychologist and board approved clinical supervisor trained in working within a developmental framework across the lifespan and has extensive experience working with adolescents, adults and loved ones in supporting the improvement of body image and eating disorders.
She is a co-partner of Eating Disorders Training Australia, offering training, clinical supervision and resources for clinicians and those with lived experience of body dissatisfaction and eating disorders. Sarah owns a private practice, Breeze Psychology, working systemically with clients taking into consideration the individual’s systems, intersectionality, and strengths in supporting them. She has worked for over 10 years in the public and private sectors including at the Butterfly Day Eating Disorders Day Program and has been a long withstanding proponent for weight neutral, HAES ® approaches to healthcare.
Sarah has presented at a number of conferences on the topic of social media, body image and eating disorders and alongside Dr Amanda Bolton, has recently released a comprehensive self-paced training on social media and body image based on research and clinical practice. Sarah is currently part of the AFL Eating Disorders in Sport (EDiS) working party, working on prevention, early identification and treatment response across the organisation.
