Institute of Private Practising Psychologists

The Institute of Private Practising Psychologists has been representing psychologists in private practice since 1981 and is the only body dedicated to assisting psychologists working in private practice in Australia (regardless of endorsement).

The IPPP seeks to meet the needs of our members, but always within consideration for a high standard of service delivery to the community by promoting exemplary standards of professional ethics and practice.

Our activities are driven by three perceived needs of psychologists in private practice

  1. Professional development particularly relating to private practice.
  2. Peer support for psychologists particularly working in solo or very small practices
  3. Advocacy and representation for psychologists in private practice
