Rachel Samson

Rachel Samson is a Clinical Psychologist, lecturer, author, and two-time recipient of the Australian Psychological Society Prize. She has worked across private practice, government specialist child and youth services, and the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia.

Rachel’s work focuses on developmental science, personality development, and family relationships—particularly how early experiences and child temperament shape child outcomes and mental health across the lifespan.

Rachel is a sought-after speaker on parenting, child development, and mental health, and regularly features in national and international media.

She is the co-author of Beyond Difficult: An Attachment-Focused Guide to Dealing With Challenging People with Dr Jessica Stern.
