David Gardner’s background is as a solicitor. He graduated from the University of Adelaide with a Bachelor of Laws.
He initially commenced legal practice in commercial litigation, briefly juggled this with teaching at The University of Adelaide, then moved onto working with AHPRA. These included roles across SA, NSW and Vic including as an investigator, manager, and Senior Inspector.
A growing concern for how practitioners were dealt with by AHPRA pushed David to return to private practice and, in early 2019, he started his firm, Gardner Legal & Regulatory. The firm has a primary focus on assisting health practitioners under regulatory scrutiny.
Over a decade in health regulation led David to identify an absence in non-clinical CPD topics. His focus is now on providing high-quality education on non-clinical topics, to remove the stress of the unknown and enable practitioners to practice in the best way they can.
